WHY PEARLE VISION
Founded by Dr. Stanley Pearle in Savannah, Georgia in 1961 as a single optometry practice. That one office grew into a network trusted by families across three countries.
If your new eyewear doesn't meet your expectations, Pearle Vision will make it right. No asterisks, no fine print — a guarantee backed by six decades of standing behind their work.
Your eye exams are performed by independent optometrists who give you personal attention and clear answers — not rushed through a checklist by a rotating roster of strangers.
Buy your frames at Pearle Vision and walk in anytime for complimentary adjustments and professional cleaning. No appointment, no charge — that's the neighborhood difference.
VSP, EyeMed, and most major vision plans are accepted. Flexible payment options also available so you can get the eyecare you need without financial barriers.
Across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico — there's likely a Pearle Vision near you. Each location staffed by people who know their community and care about the families they serve.
OUR STORY
In 1961, Dr. Stanley Pearle opened a single optometry practice in Savannah, Georgia. He believed something simple: that people deserved personal attention when it came to their eyes. Not a factory line. Not a sales pitch. A real conversation with a real doctor who knew your name.
By 1971, he acquired a 17-store optical chain and partnered with Robert Hillman and Larry Kohan to expand that same neighborhood philosophy nationwide. In 1981, he began offering franchises, empowering independent eye doctors in communities across the country to deliver the same personal, unhurried care.
Over six decades later, that founding idea hasn't changed. Every Pearle Vision location is still built around an independent doctor who knows that eyecare isn't just about a prescription — it's about making sure you see your life clearly.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Pearle Vision accepts most major vision insurance plans, including VSP and EyeMed. Coverage can vary by location, so it's worth confirming your specific plan when you call or book online. Flexible payment options are also available if your plan doesn't cover everything.
Your annual eye exam is performed by an independent optometrist and covers visual acuity, eye pressure, retinal health, and a full assessment of your prescription needs. Unlike chain retailers that rush you through, Pearle Vision doctors are known for taking their time and giving clear, unhurried answers to your questions.
Absolutely. Pearle Vision offers specialized contact lens exams that include fitting and hands-on training for first-time wearers. Staff members will walk you through insertion, removal, and care — patiently, as many times as you need. Brands carried include Acuvue, Bausch + Lomb, and Clariti.
The selection varies by location but typically includes Ray-Ban, Oakley, Coach, Michael Kors, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, and more. Customers regularly mention the wide selection as one of the main reasons they choose Pearle Vision over smaller optical shops.
If your new eyewear doesn't meet expectations — whether it's the fit, the prescription, or the look — Pearle Vision will work to make it right. Additionally, all eyewear purchases come with free adjustments and professional cleanings for the life of your frames. Just walk in, no appointment needed.
Yes. Pearle Vision offers dedicated kids eyecare, including pediatric eye exams and durable children's frames. They also carry Essilor Stellest lenses specifically designed for myopia management in children — a growing concern as screen time increases. The American Optometric Association recommends children receive their first eye exam at 6 months.
